AIESEC offers over 16’000 worldwide internships annually to students and recent graduates. These international internships give you the possibility to gain work experience abroad and to discover cultures and countries. You have two options of living abroad and gaining experience: One is the Global Internship Programme (GIP) where you improve your professional skills, the other is the Global Volunteering Programme (GVP) where you can improve your social personality.

Global Internship Programme

The Global Internship Programme is an opportunity for you to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership. Experience living and working in a cross-cultural environment, develop and improve your professional skills and gain access to a global network full of opportunities. AIESEC partners with many corporate organizations all over the world who recognize us for a unique youth leadership talent pool.

Popular internships in AIESEC Switzerland’s partner countries include: Belgium (AGC Glass Europe, Ingersoll Rand ESA, Microsoft), Germany (Deutsche Post DHL), Greece (Teleperformance Hellas), Hungary (TATA Consultancy Services, Nokia, Inbev, Unilever), Ireland (Apple, Gala networks, SAP, Google, Colgate Palmolive) and Pakistan (Lakson Business Solutions).

Who is suitable for this programme?

• Students and recent graduates in the last 2 years
• Between the age of 18 and 30
• Available for 4-5 and 18 months depending on the job description and the country
• Profile – background: Market Evaluation and Research, International Marketing, Organisation Management and planning

Global Volunteering Programme

AIESEC aims to create an understanding between young people of different cultures through the Global Volunteering Programme. Our network is organizing the Global Volunteering Programme to provide you a fun and meaningful experience and the chance to immerse yourself in a foreign culture. It is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your entrepreneurial and leadership skills by creating direct positive impact.

Who is suitable for this programme?

• Students and recent graduates in the last 2 years
• Between the age of 18 and 30
• Available for 6-8 week long porjects starting in January – February or June-July
• Profile – background: Social work, Project Management, Bilingual and cross cultural education, Psychology, Advertising and PR
• But most of all you have to be interested in specific social issues /topics , open to experience different cultures and passionate about contributing to society.

• Type of Internships: Global Internship Programme and Global Volunteering Programme
• Countries: Worldwide! Most offers in South America, South East Asia, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe.
• Duration: 6 to 72 weeks
• Start: All year through (preparation time around 2 months)
• Costs: 150 sFr. (database) + internship fee (180-650 sFr.)
