Global Volunteering

AIESEC aims to create an understanding between young people of different cultures through the Global Volunteering Programme. We provide you a fun and meaningful experience and the chance to immerse yourself in a foreign culture. It’s an excellent opportunity for you to develop your entrepreneurial and leadership skills by creating direct positive impact.

Yearly 15.000 of students use their summer or winter break to travel and learn about the world, and volunteer through AIESEC programs. It’s one of the best ways to try new things.

The volunteer programs run year around giving you the chance to volunteer during the summer and winter semester breaks. The major peaks for the projects always are:

  • Summer:  May-Jun-Jul-Aug
  • Winter: Dec-Jan-Feb-Mar

During these periods project options allow you to volunteer from 6 up to 8 weeks.

Positions are always unpaid.

Accommodation is included for the duration of the program either in a volunteer apartment/shared flat where you will be staying with a group of volunteers  or at a hosting local family to increase the cultural experience. Please note that this accommodation can be basic.

In some cases depending on the project you might be offered by decent food ( 2-3 meals per day) and you will be responsible to purchase the other meals and snacks. You are also expected to eat as the locals do – make sure that you do a research before your departure especially if you have special dietary needs.
